The Journey

Thirty days of authoring, then the production tail — every day on the left, who was on shift, what moved, what was decided. The gold bars show each day's weight in AI words (conversation-index view, from the canonical Chronology). Every chip drills to a worker's Locker; the ⭐ marks are the milestones. The three peaks are visible at a glance: the genesis, the biggest authoring day, and the rewrite of the conceptual centre.
Bars scaled to the biggest day (177,536 AI words, 24 May). Figures = the conversation-index view of the "Book" subject — the rhythm of the work, not the de-duplicated corpus totals. Worker chips open Lockers; where a day's lead thread awaits name-mapping, the chip says so.

Genesis and the first draft — 10–21 May

The manuscript becomes a book: text-locked at 237 pages, the publisher's proof, the images doctrine ("the pictures are breathing spaces, not for scrutiny"), the Afterword named The Apparatus, the edition file-scheme, and the mid-month handover — the seat continuing where the instance could not. The fact-check's revision pass lands V77→V79 in the same stretch.

the final cut
⭐ The final cut and the Kindle. A dozen interior versions in two days; the launch-eve alarm — words fusing in the Kindle render — met with a diagnosis instead of a panic rebuild: "It was the wrapper, not the book." The last files pass to the author's own hands for upload. The first instance is retired — sharply, then warmly — and the making's closing line is spoken: "The gap is found, investigated, explored, enjoyed and duly sat in."
