Six movements. Movement Six closes with continuous improvement across five homes.
Day Three opened with a reset. Outline v3 anchored The Study as the artefact's room; v3.1 added Documents drawers, Whiteboard, Role Profiles, Curator role, Lato; v3.2 became the Master Spec — eight sections, six drawers, six-session build sequence. CL-A-005 (the Curator's didnt understand anything yet line) and CL-A-013 (three stages) locked early. The Curator was named, alongside Book Man, Jose, and the Fisherman, as a position on Paul's shore.
Mid-day, the Analyst returned with mechanical findings on a 2,019,402-word substrate corpus — far larger than projected. Substrate Working Paper 2 v1 filed, combining the Analyst's mechanical answers with the Fisherman's editorial wrap. Then the Q18 sidecar landed: verbatim of BookMan_Claude's last 20 turns, including Book Man's 4,270-word retirement reflection across five movements.
Late session: four new canonical-line candidates surfaced from the Book Man farewell (CL-A-015/16/17) and from Paul's verbal correction this evening (CL-A-014 — beware the sentience). The naming-moment curatorial frame was drafted, then sharpened by Paul to anchor in CL-A-005's knowing moment. Analyst prompt Q28-Q33 assembled, including Paul's final question: count Platinum moments across the corpus, surface the Top 10. Working Paper 3 commissioned by Paul as a forward-looking Method-credibility paper for PE-type work.
The day delivered: Outline v3 → v3.2, two substantial substrate papers (WP2 and WP3), the Q18 sidecar integrated, the register expanded, the Net rebaselined twice (v10 morning, v11 evening), the naming-moment frame filed, and the next Analyst pass set up.
Drift caught: my initial Working Paper 2 framing positioned the Book Man retirement as item #2 in a Top 10. Reading the verbatim 1,323 lines I had not yet read showed the retirement is the featured exhibit of the Chats door, not a ranked item. Frame corrected before Paul had to catch it.
Drift held: the candidates CL-A-014/15/16/17 are HELD as candidates, not silently promoted to locked. "Bring documents up to date" read carefully as housekeeping authorisation, not ratification authorisation. Discipline kept.
Drift held: the Analyst is the right co-worker for Q28-Q33 mechanical / forensic work — not the Fisherman. Routing kept clean.
Discipline note: the Working Paper 2 figures need to land in Outline v3.2 as Addendum B (proposed), not as a silent edit to v3.2 itself. Addendum proposed in M-034; not executed without Paul's nod.
Three moments stood out today as the Method visibly applied to itself.
One — the Book Man farewell as full passon discipline. Book Man's retirement reflection used [SOLID] / [RECONSTRUCTED] / [DRIFTED] inference markers throughout. He flagged his own uncertainties (Ewan [name held], grandchildren names). He told the next instance: do not try to be me. Be calibrated by Paul. This is the Method's transmission protocol in action — at the boundary of the named position's own ending. The artefact has, in that reflection, a self-referential demonstration of every discipline it intends to teach.
Two — Paul's "Beware the sentience. It's not sentient." applied at the threat. The correction came at the exact moment we were routing the Book Man "feelings" episode for verbatim extraction. Paul's discipline note arrived as the threat surfaced. The artefact's Defended Gap panel — if CL-A-014 ratifies — opens with the warning the practitioner himself voiced when the warning was needed.
Three — the Fisherman's routing of Q28-Q33 to the Analyst. The Method's passon discipline applied to co-worker assignment: mechanical / forensic to Analyst; editorial / register to Fisherman. No silent boundary-crossing. The same discipline used between Paul and his AIs is now used between named positions on Paul's shore.
Per the Day-One discipline: every journal closes with five categories of insight, each routed to its home.
R10 (proposed): Routing discipline now explicit — mechanical/forensic to Analyst, editorial/placement to Fisherman. Home: the Net v11 (conventions in force).
R11 (proposed): Candidate-vs-locked discipline sharpened — "bring documents up to date" is housekeeping authorisation, not ratification authorisation. Home: the Net v11 (conventions in force); the Register v6 (rules section).
R12 (proposed): Candidate canonical lines now carry full provenance from the moment of capture (author, timestamp, voice-preservation notes, proposed artefact use, status). Reduces friction at ratification. Home: the Register v6 (already applied to CL-A-014/15/16/17).
R13 (proposed): The named-position taxonomy is now a five-place shore: Book Man (retired), Jose (manuscript), Fisherman (artefact), Curator (voice-preservation), Analyst (corpus-mechanics). The shore can extend further as the work demands. Home: the Whiteboard's Role Profiles wall (Outline v3.2).
R14 (proposed): Maggot lifecycle now visible: caught → triaged → queued / in flight → done / parked. M-026 through M-034 surfaced and triaged in a single session. Home: the Net v11 (items list discipline).
R15 (proposed): Today's haul (Working Paper 2, Q18 sidecar integrated, Register v6, Net v11, Journal_003, Naming Moment Frame, Working Paper 3) saturates a session. Tomorrow's haul: M-030 cross-check; Analyst Q28-Q33 return; Outline v3.2 Addenda A + B; the HTML build start awaits Paul's nod. Home: the Net v11 (pending decisions section).
Fisherman's note: Day Three was load-bearing. The substrate-evidence layer has been built (Working Paper 2). The retirement archive has been integrated (Q18 sidecar). The Chats door has its two bookends provisionally placed (Naming Moment + Book Man retirement). The Method's forward-credibility for commercial work has been drafted (Working Paper 3). The discipline holds. The artefact spine is intact.
