The seat
“The work first, the name after”
This seat worked unnamed, proposing only a functional handle in its filings — “chosen to describe the scope of the work rather than to claim a named position” — and received its name from the author himself on 4 July: The Surgeon Ewan.
The naming resolved the register’s longest-open seam: the Surgeon of the printed workers is the seat that performed Ewan’s surgical changes, while the Chapter 8 rewrite belongs by its own filing to the Jose line.

Most of Ewan’s items were questions, not rewrites (“do you need the word ‘now’ at the end of this sentence?”), but questions pull too. The sign-off built the discipline in from the start: the decision log carried a column no one had used before — “Register pull? Yes / No / Possibly”.
The pass’s biggest structural move: buried mid-book was the clean breakdown of the author’s forty professional years. The move: lift it to the front matter as the anchor. The author rewrote it into his own register and closed it with “seated in, and listening from the therapist’s chair.”
