The Canon · every ruling, dated

One list. Every canonical term, line, place, event and thread — in the order it was ruled.

When something in the making mattered, Paul said so on the record — canonical — and the moment was kept: the sentence, the conversation, the worker in the room, the minute. This is that register, laid out whole. On 12 July 2026 a full excavation of every log — Claude, ChatGPT and the local sessions the cloud never sees — recovered 32 designations made in passing and never carried home; they are the rows marked Flagged · 12 Jul. Nothing is dropped: candidates, conflicts and open rulings are carried as exactly that.
drawn live from the estate’s register REG-01a v1.3 · as at 2026-07-14-19-30 · 127 entries · slice it below
How to read the Canon
What qualifies: anything Paul Roebuck designated canonical, on the record — a term, a line, a place, an event, a thread. Under Rule Zero the flagging IS the inclusion: status is a field, never a doorman. Who rules: Paul; day-to-day register rulings are delegated to the Registrar and stand until Paul says otherwise — every ruling is current-best and revisable, never unchallengeable. The statuses: Locked = wording fixed at a dated moment · Ruled = designation confirmed in use · Flagged = recovered designation, in by right, awaiting nothing · Candidate = proposed, never promoted. Dates: (o) origin · (l) locked/ruled · (i) inferred · (f) the flag moment recovered by sweep. Supersession: later evidence can supersede a ruling; the old row stays visible with the relationship marked — nothing is deleted. Each entry's ID is a stable anchor (link to #CN-069 and it holds).

On the record
This page is the public slice of REG-01a, The Canonical List — the estate’s one-place-for-all register, maintained by The Canonical Registrar under a standing rule the estate calls Rule Zero: flagging is inclusion — everything ever designated canonical is on the register, and status (locked, ruled, flagged, candidate) is a field, not a doorman. A small number of entries are held off this slice for gating; the register on disk is complete, with every verbatim flag sentence and minute-stamp, and is produced for legal or licensing examination on request: hello@paulroebuck.co.uk. The coined terms have their own reading room: The Lexicon →
